Error: “Cannot export map”

Issue

Error:”Cannot export map“. This message means that some of the maps in exported scene are not compatible with Corona standalone application.

Possible causes

Scene contains map(s) incompatible with Corona

Solutions

  • Replace offending maps with maps that are compatible with Corona standalone application.
  • If offending map (or any of the maps plugged into it) is a procedural map that is mapped in UVW space (not world or object space), it can be baked into a bitmap, which is supported by Corona standalone. To do so, right click on map and select “Render Map..” option. Make sure to set UV tiling to 1 and 1 before rendering map, and then set tiling back to previous value once rendered map is loaded as a bitmap.
