RodZilla has released an update for Material Maker, the open-source procedural material generation tool that’s built on top of the Godot engine. The new release features updates to the user interface and several new and improved nodes including the ability to describe and randomise 3D shapes; workflow nodes to define and mix materials based on height, orientation, or offset maps; an improved bricks node with rounded corners; a Truchet node that tiles and flips its input; hexagonal tiles; 3 edge detection nodes, a sharpen filter and much more. Material Maker 0.8 and its source code are freely available on Itch-IO.
